Unlock the device if it is locked, swipe to dismiss the Find My Device alert.

Turn off the sound before the two minutes is over press the power button or a volume button or flip the Ring/Silent switch.

Enter the Apple ID and password, then tap Sign In.

If a missing iOS device is nearby & online, you can play a sound on it to assist with finding it. You will receive a notification once it’s located. Under Notifications, turn on Notify When Found.

If the device is not online: You will see ‘No location found’ under device name.

If the device is online: The location of the device will display on the map so you can see where it is.

In the Devices list, you will see the device status under each device.
